I met Lindsay and Jason through 3 of their friends, all of whom I’ve had the honour of photographing their weddings over the years. When we had our first meeting about their Whistle Bear wedding, we instantly clicked.

Lindsay’s details were the same aesthetic that I love. I’m head over heels over pastels, especially the pinks and blushes. In the morning while getting ready, I was able to play around and get creative with them. I have to say, hers are some of my favourite detail shots ever!

Lindsay and Jason are a naturally chill and carefree couple. They simply love spending time with each other. Their idea of the perfect date involves pizza, wine, board games and Friends playing in the background.

Similarly, their beautiful summer wedding at Whistle Bear was very relaxed from morning to the end of the day. You could tell it was all about celebrating the love they shared and nothing else could bother them.

It really showed through in their photos, where almost every shot we captured are them sharing meaningful gazes. It’s like their eyes were always drawn to the other, and because of that, they were so natural in front of the camera. I love when my couples let loose and trust me to guide them knowing we’ll get beautiful photos in the end.

The location, Whistle Bear, is one of the best venues in the Kitchener area. It has all kinds of backdrops—waterfalls, forest, fields—everything in one place! We had so much time to go around and take photos. We even got to have a quick portrait session later on in the reception to shoot them during sunset featuring the changing colours of the sky.

This couldn’t have been a more perfect wedding to end the summer. Wishing you both all the love and happiness for years to come!
