I strongly believe that we need to be a good fit for each other for you to be your most comfortable selves in front of the camera.
I want your experience to be everything you ever dreamed of. You're not my client and I'm not your vendor, we are friends.
When we spend the day together, I want you to be your true selves, and in order for that to happen, we need to vibe and you need to know what you're in for. I do things a little different. Being in front of my camera doesn't mean super staged, awkward feeling, "posey" shots. Yes, I can take those magazine worthy Vogue style photos (and I do), but to me it's way more than that. I want to also bring out the real love, the romance, the goofy, silly side of you guys. I strive for real laughter, not fake smiles.
I am invested in my couples because I care, and I want to be more than just a photographer to you. Whether this is your first time hiring a photographer or not, I can tell you 95% of my couples have never had professional photos taken. If you want your photographer to just show up and get the typical posed and smiling perfect looking shots, without pulling out your real emotions and connection, we may not be the best fit.
Let's focus on creating together rather than just getting the job done.

I want to provide comfort and help. My main focus is that you guys are having a good time. I'm not kidding when I say that most of my couples show up with the same line "We're super awkward and hate getting our photos taken" and by the end they always tell me how easy and fun the whole process was.

How do we reserve our date?
How long does it take to get the images?
How Many images are included? Can I have the RAWs?
In order to secure your date, I require a 30% retainer at the time of signing your contract. The remaining balance is due at the latest one week before your wedding. I accept all forms of payment including e-transfers, cheques, credit card and cash.
I limit my schedule for quick turn around times and only take on a limited amount of weddings per year. I'm naturally an impatient person and like to think my couples are the same. I don't want you waiting months to see your images, the maximum amount of time you should expect to get your images back is 6-8 weeks for weddings and 2-3 weeks for your engagement shoot.
You will receive roughly 60-80 images per hour fully edited. I do not provide RAW files under any circumstance. I promise to never leave out any images that you would want or need.
Do I have to tag you?
Will you photoshop us?
No, these are YOUR wedding photos, you do not need to tag me in them or credit me online, however, if you do, I would absolutely love that!
I do not alter anything when it comes to your body, the only thing I touch-up is blemishes or things like bruises and scrapes that are only temporary. I am here to make sure you look your best, not change how you look in real life. I believe in promoting body positivity and will also make sure to pose you in a way that is most flattering.
What's your style like?
My style simply put would be "true to life", but we learn and grow as photographers and our style evolves every year too. So if you like what you see, you can expect that for yourself. I make sure the editing is reflective to my couple and how things felt in that moment. I also add some black and white duplicates of maybe 5-10% of your images that I feel has a very strong, meaningful and timeless moment to it. I love my black and whites, but not every photo is meant to be in monochrome.
Do you give discounts?
Do you charge for travel?
Nope.
I have had people ask in the past if they can get a special discount for a weekday, Sunday or off-season wedding. For me it doesn't matter what time of the year your wedding is, I still put the same amount of work and effort into each and every single one.
If you need me to travel 30km+ outside of the Kitchener-Waterloo area, I do require a travel fee. If you are a Pearle Weddings couple, your travel fee is included for your wedding, however if you need me to go up to your cottage in Muskoka for your engagement session, there would be a travel fee for that.
If you are wondering about destination weddings and elopements, I do require travel and stay to be covered, but I do ask that you reach out as all destination weddings and elopements are different.

You may have seen some of my past wedding highlight films, unfortunately I no longer offer this service. As much as I loved making these films, I found this to not be the best my business, especially during the busy season of the year.
You hire me to be your photographer and that is the craft that I should be focusing on during the most important moments of your life. If video is important to you, I highly suggest hiring a separate videographer.
This is different for destination weddings as things are a lot more relaxed and it gives me time to get creative with both photo and video. So if you're booking me for a Destination wedding, then yes, video can be included for you.
So from what you read above (I know, it was alot!), I'm sure it is clear that being a good fit is important for one another. If you don't feel that I am "the one", I would much rather you go with another photographer in order for you to get the best possible experience for such a significant milestone in your life.
The experience you have with your photographer, strongly impacts how you will feel about your photos down the road.
I don't want you to ever have the thoughts of "I wish we went with someone else".

The most exciting part! All that planning is about to pay off!
I promise to make this part fun and easy for you all. Throughout the day I will be capturing candid moments and also assisting in posing throughout. My clients aren't professional models, what you see in my work is what YOU will get!
Within 6-8 weeks, your wedding images will be sent over to you and you will have access to the entire high resolution online gallery. Share them, print them, whatever you want to do with them you can, they are yours!
