Having booked Rachel and Ryans wedding before The Pearle Hotel was even finished, including a postponement in between, you can only imagine my excitement when the day finally came! This was the wedding I’ve been waiting for! Of course it’s always exciting to shoot somewhere new when you’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade, but seeing the mockups for this location had me ecstatic. If you know me, you know I’m all about modern, clean and beachy vibes.. The Pearle Hotel checks off every single one of those. To say I’m obsessed with this venue is an understatement.

As Rachel and Ryan were one of the first to get married here, the hotel rooms weren’t even ready yet. However, Rachels family owns a condo connected to the hotel and boy was it fabulous. Everything about this day was spectacular, the location, the vibes, everything. Now I do have to tell you though, it did rain all day (but fyi, I love the rain). But just in time for the first look, the rain stopped for a good half hour so we could capture the portraits these two have been dreaming about outside. It was also quite windy and pretty chilly, but you can’t tell right? My couples are such troopers!

What I loved the most about this day, is learning that Rachel and Ryan actually met at the bar that’s on the same block as the hotel. So close that we were even able to get a photo of them with the bar in the background. Talk about sentimental! These two were just good vibes all around and I absolutely loved spending the day with them along with their friends and family.

I would have to say one of the best parts about this venue is that they have beautiful rain backup locations inside, like their GORGEOUS stair case for example! We definitely took advantage of it when we were rained out. This place is honestly spectacular, it’s basically a modern destination wedding venue without the flight.

First of all, she was extremely flexible and understanding when covid had us change our date several times and we were so happy she was available on the date we ended up with. The entire planning process she was there to help us figure out locations, the schedule of the day and back up plans in case the weather didn’t cooperate. On the actual date of our wedding, she was very organized and was an essential part of the day running smoothly. She was checking the weather, managing our schedule and making sure I was where I needed to be at the right time. She is also great at managing family, keeping them focused and making sure we got every shot we wanted.
I feel awkward in front of a camera and she was able to direct us how to move, how to stand and as a result our photos came out beautiful.
