A wedding in the middle of the summer in Cambridge couldn’t have been a more fitting setting for this couple. They were like a breath of fresh air. Rather than highlight the little details of the ceremony and party, they wanted the focus to be on the joy of the day shared with their family and guests.

I didn’t have a hard time at all. By the smiles and outright laughter of everyone in these wedding photos, you can tell joy was the primary emotion throughout the day. They were such an animated couple, always bringing out the fun.

You’ll see some of their silly personality show through while they were getting ready, hanging out and taking photos with their family and friends and up to the ceremony. By the time the real party starts, it’s like everyone came alive with all the dancing!

Brandon’s Caribbean background made for a reception like no other. It was a night full of dancing like no one is watching (except me of course haha) on a hot summer evening.

As much as the day had so much laughter, the quiet, affectionate moments made it even more special. And there were plenty! Apart from the couple, there was so much love to go around between family and friends. Even the weepy moments were only evoked by an overwhelming feeling of love for and from the people surrounding them. That was a beautiful sight.

As if there can’t be enough photos of the gorgeous couple, I was able to steal them for a few minutes at sunset to capture some dreamy, romantic photos before getting back to the party.

Nickey’s sister Denise happens to be one of my friends in the photography industry, and I was so honoured to have her refer me to capture her sister’s big day. It’s safe to say this wedding filled me with as much love as everyone felt that day. The feeling was really infectious! I have no doubts that Nickey and Brandon have enough fun and love to share with each other for a lifetime.
