I’ve been so excited for Kari and Ralph’s wedding since our incredible at-home engagement session last year! When Covid first hit, they initially decided to cancel their wedding and do a small intimate ceremony with just their family. But luckily, their rescheduled date landed on the day we hit phase 3 in Ontario’s re-opening, so they decided to invite their closest friends too!

Kari and Ralph ended up only having their ceremony at their original venue, Rebel Golf Course. It was perfect since we were also able to take some photos of the wedding party and the bride and groom at the venue.

For the reception, we headed to their friend’s back yard for them to all change into comfy clothes (it was a hot day) and enjoy the rest of the evening to celebrate their love just hanging out by the pool. They still had the cake, the first dance, the DJ setup, but it was all very intimate and casual.

At the reception, I had a chance to talk with Kari about her day. She was almost in tears from happiness with how incredible her day turned out to be. She said it was amazing and more meaningful compared to the original extravagant wedding they were planning on. She couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Love is not cancelled and this day really showed us that.

I have to say, after photographing this smaller intimate chic Kitchener wedding (and one of the first ones this season.. which is so crazy to say) I am absolutely obsessed!
