This June engagement shoot in and around Elora with Laura and Mitchell was a cloudy and gloomy one, but not any less bright with their silly personalities shining through and the stunning location. We captured these photos in Elora Gorge and the downtown area in front of Elora Mill.
It actually almost didn’t happen because of thunderstorms in the forecast. We were contemplating postponing it and waited at the last minute to make the call to go ahead with the shoot.
If the fireman’s lift pose isn’t clue enough, Mitchell is a firefighter and Laura is a nurse. It’s basically a perfect match! Look out for that photo with Mitchell carrying Laura on his shoulder in the gorge – tell me you’re a firefighter without telling me you’re a firefighter lol!
It ended up raining for 10 minutes while we were in down in the gorge but that just gave us some time to hide under the trees and take some fun shots of the engagement ring. After that, we had perfect weather the rest of the time. It turned out to be an epic engagement shoot as we took advantage of Elora and its gorgeous backdrops.
I believe this shoot really showcases my photographic style. The emotions I got from them really shows what our evening went like. I love to have a variety of posed photos as well as candid moments to get the most of our time together. I had such a blast with Laura and Mitchell and I cannot wait to see these two tie the knot and create more magic on their wedding day!
